About Us
Founded in 1951, the Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock (HBA-GLR) is a non-profit trade association which represents all facets of the residential building industry in Central Arkansas.
We are one of more than 800 local associations throughout the nation affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), headquartered in Washington, D.C. There is also a state association, the Arkansas Home Builders Association (AHBA), headquartered in Little Rock.
The HBA-GLR boasts hundreds of members representing not only home builders and remodelers, but also manufacturers, service providers and other companies and services connected to the Central Arkansas building industry.
Since our inception, our core mission has remained unchanged:
"To be the collective voice of the area's housing industry, while supporting members through education and advocating for unparalleled professionalism."
Led by a Board of Directors of the area's most proficient industry experts, the association strives to keep Central Arkansas' housing industry healthy.
It does this through a variety of means, including:
Government Affairs
Educating area leaders on the importance of housing to our local economies, fighting impact fees, encouraging reasonable permitting fees, and staying abreast of relevant legislative changes.
Education
Hosting seminars to help members sharpen their skills while promoting professional growth and development.
Professionalism
Ensuring members of the HBA-GLR are held to the highest possible standard rising above state requirements through proper screening and mentoring.
Tracking Permit Data
Keeping a close eye on growth within our community.
Membership Opportunities
Promoting networking and relationships between companies and individuals who share our desire for growth and professionalism.
Community Presence
Ensuring that when members of our community use a member of the HBA-GLR, they are receiving the credibility and professionalism that we work so hard to promote.
